If anyone is as a die hard Nana Mizuki fan and gets the title of this review I will love you!
It is Mother’s Day, so Megumi and Mao bake their mums delicious cakes and Seiji prefers to go the traditional route of a carnation.
Hime is also baking cakes, cupcakes but she immediately eats them as she cannot give them to her mother. (I think she just wanted to eat the cakes in the 1st place)
Megumi and Yuu-Yuu aren’t having any of it however and package the cakes individually.
“Strumming the wild tune! Cure Melody thanks you!”
Ribbon will not allow it but to her dismay, Blue bids her to go.
However he warns that the Precure will not be able to use their powers in the Blue Sky Kingdom as the Phantom Empire have taken over and tells them not to get caught at all cost.
Pikarigaoka could become like the Blue Sky Kingdom in one night according to Ribbon.
Upon arriving at Hime’s home, it looks peaceful enough, yet everyone is stuck in mirrors.
Ribbon tells them they will hide and so use the Ninja PreCard
The Saiark of course thinks these sweating bushes are just that…
Megumi trips up first, then Yuu-Yuu’s growling stomach ultimately gives them away.
The Saiark gets a big army of Choiarks together but the Cures then use Rollerskate PreCard to escape
There are two Saiark guarding the door, however Hime knows of a secret passage. This is when Ribbon’s screaming really starts to get on my nerves… ¬.¬
The majestic King and Queen of the Blue Sky Kingdom
Megumi comments that Hime looks a lot like her mother, which pleases her. But not long after setting the gift down do Choiarks appear angry and ready to fight.
Hosshiwa appears and tells them to leave her castle but this enrages Princess who retorts that it is her castle.
The Precure find out that their attacks, even their Form Changes do very very little damage so they decided to run for it.
To comic effect, Princess’ Form Change affects Olesky however the girls are soon surrounded by Choiarks.
Blue however, comes to the rescue and says that he’s opened a gate nearby. The enemies are faster than the Cures and soon catch up however.
They escape in the nick of time and Hime feels down about her choices, still she did what they set out to do.
I’m not sure how to feel about this episode. There wasn’t a lot of action but it was refreshing to see that the Cures CAN be helpless sometimes. Ribbon just annoyed me the whole way through however.
